How many of us have siblings? How many of us have sibling rivalries? Now how many of us wish we could settle our sibling disputes by hashing it out with hands and feet flying, oh and get paid to do so? Probably a good majority.
2012 marked the 17th WWE in major league history, 14th of the modern era, and first of the 21st century. Cabrera became the first Latin player and first third baseman to win the wwe crowns. He was the second Tiger behind Ty Cobb in 1909. His peers named him player of the year as did the Sporting News. The baseball writers followed suit with the MVP award.
Okay i admit it. Put me on the list of the unbelievers in here who thought his west coast races were not impressive. Credit Garret Gomez for getting the horse up front early and away from the calvary charge behind him. Finished second in the Derby but it doesn't get my pulses racing that he ran the last 1/4 mile in something like 27 seconds while Mine that Bird ran it in 25. He is popular in the west and likely to be overbet in here. On the plus side the slop didn't bother him nor did the first trip on dirt so he could improve in here. Can't blame anyone who would bet him.
In 2008, Eight Bells suffered from an injury and was euthanized immediately following her Kentucky Derby win. Obviously, fillies have what it takes to outshine male contenders. In spite of this, for the first time in history, the Kentucky Derby has decided to exclude female contenders. The change came about as part of the new Kentucky Derby prep season points system. Instead of running in the Kentucky Derby, fillies are encouraged to participate in the Kentucky Oaks on May 3, 2013.
Over the last few days WWE HOF Stone Cold Steve Austin has commented on two of the biggest stories currently in the WWE. Earlier today, Austin commented on Day 2 of Tough Enough training. On late Monday night, Stone Cold Steve Austin also shared his comments about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's return to the WWE and his 20 minute promo on Monday Night RAW.
That actually makes a lot of sense for Masters, who has been floating around without a major wrestling gig since TNA wrestling used him in their short term promotion in the Middle East. Maybe Masters can use some of this new publicity to get a new chance in one of the big wrestling promotions.
Beverages - This used to the most profitable area. Back in the days of fountain soda, when the cup costed more than the liquid inside it. Many high school no longer have wrestling soda fountains and few youth programs are going to have access to them. Today it's more common for people to donate cases of soda, water or sports drink and resell the individual containers for $1 to $2. I see events mark water and soda at $1 and sports drinks at $1.50. Great, now you have to make change and deal with quarters on half your transactions. Do this and make your like easier. The water is the healthiest item and if they want to pay extra for sugar-water, let them. If it's donated items the margin is the same at $1 for all items.
DX - While DX is back together in the form of Triple H and Michaels, it is not the same as the old DX. Without the whole group together, the gimmick has become a shadow of it's former self. They need to retool DX, and have some new superstars join the fray. Who on the roster would fit in with Triple H and Michaels? How about some new blood such as The Miz, MVP or Dolph Zigglar? Something new is needed.
